Rewind to 2015
I wanted to play more tennis, but it was always hard to find someone to play with. I had a coach that I would train with occasionally, but then I wanted to practice in between our sessions. I had heard about tennis ball machines but the only ones I'd seen were either really old basic ones at the tennis club, or new ones that were very expensive.
Whilst searching for the best tennis ball machine for my own personal use, I discovered the Spinshot brand. I searched the internet, read all the reviews, watched all the YouTube videos and from my research the Spinshot machines far out specified the ball machines available in NZ - the Spinshot machines had customisable drills, a metal exterior, large ball capacity and I could use my phone as the remote via the Drill Maker app. I was sold!
The only issue was it was not available in New Zealand ... so I had to import it ... from the UK.
After a few weeks it arrived and it was even better than I was expecting. After a bit of playing around with the settings on the app I made myself some drills and would spend a couple of hours a week practicing with the machine.
What impressed me was the range of shots it could deliver, and after a few weeks of training both my skills and fitness were improving. It was also fun to use and most importantly - I could train when I wanted.
Spinshot Sports NZ - founded in 2016
I loved my Spinshot machine so much and I thought there was a real gap in the market that this brand could fill. So I got in touch with the owners of Spinshot and in 2016 I became the sole distributor of Spinshot machines in NZ.
I began with just a small range of products, built an online store and it just grew from there.
It turns out there are a lot of people just like me - people want to play tennis but it's hard to find someone to play with - everyone is busy with work and family.
A Spinshot tennis ball machine is the answer. It is always available when you want it and can deliver you balls to a precise location, over and over and over again.

Delivery
We deliver New Zealand wide, and keep our delivery rates low. For items in stock in Christchurch, you can expect your items to arrive within a week of dispatch. Most other items will arrive within 10 days to two weeks.
We use PBT couriers. We send out order confirmation and tracking details once your items have been dispatched.
