The battery supplied with your Spinshot ball machine comes charged to 75%. You will need to top up the charge to 100% before you use it.

How do I check how much charge the battery has?

Battery charge is measured in voltage. 12 volts (12v) is fully charged.

There are three ways to check the battery voltage on your Spinshot ball machine.

  1. If your ball machine has silver button and small screen just above the battery cage you can press the button to check the battery voltage at anytime.
  2. You can also check the voltage using the Drill Maker app
  3. The battery voltage is briefly displayed on the control panel screen when you start up the machine.

How do I know if my battery needs charging?

If your battery voltage reads 12v it is fully charged.

Your Spinshot ball machine will operate normally if the battery voltage range is anywhere between 7-12 volts.

If its gets down to 6v then you will need to charge the battery.

How long can I play before my battery needs charging?

It all depends on how you use the machine. The machines motors need to work harder and faster to produce fast balls with lost of spin. This draws more powere from the battery than slower balls with no spin.

For example, if you set the machine to deliver balls every 2 seconds, at max speed and max spin the battery wont last as long as if you were to have balls delivered every 4 seconds at a mid speed with no spin.

You might find you can play for 3 hours with a slower ball and a little spin and the battery will only get down to 10v. Others will play for 2 hours with a faster ball with more spin and find the battery gets down to 6v.

How do I charge the battery?

There are two different ways to charge your battery depending on the setup of your machine.

If your battery is fitted inside the machine follow the Internal battery instructions.

If your battery sits outside the machine in a black or white battery bag and is connected to the machine via a battery cable then follow the External battery instructions.

Internal battery (standard setup)

  1. Turn off the machine
  2. Connect the battery charger to the charging port on the machines control panel (near the power switch)
  3. Plug the charger into a power socket
  4. Charge until the indicator light on the charger changes from red to green

External battery

  1. Turn off the machine
  2. Disconnect the battery cable from the machine by unscrewing the metal connector
  3. Locate the charging port on the battery cable attached to the battery. Connect the battery charger to the charging port.
  4. Plug the charger into a power socket
  5. Charge until the indicator light on the charger changes from red to green
